09/13/17 LETTERS READ: Regrets

In collaboration with Antenna, stationer Nancy Sharon Collins presents the next LETTERS READRegrets. An evening of live readings celebrating the written form of human rejection. During the evening we will also celebrate the release of the new book by Antenna’s Press Street Press, entitled Letters featuring the personal correspondence of Barbara Hammond to her niece, New Orleans based photographer Ryn Wilson. The book pairs the letters with Wilson’s photos of the era.

Regrets emcee is co-Artistic Director of Goat in the Road Productions (GRP), Chris Kaminstein, accompanied by Rob Hudak and his 1940s Gibson acoustic guitar.

Kaminstein is a writer, director, and as part of GRP he recently directed the critically acclaimed Foreign to Myself at the Contemporary Arts Center. He’s a teacher with GRP’s Play/Write program, and performer/improviser with the nationally-touring Machine A and Super Computer.  Hudak is a creative director, UX/UI designer, musician, artist, and amateur astronomer. His current monoprint, “Professor Longhair at Piano”, is in this year’s Louisiana Contemporary exhibition at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.
